Aleksandra Wesolowska works as a Programme Officer in the Data Value Chain Unit of the European Commission DG Connect. Since 2009 she has been monitoring the implementation of EU-funded research and innovation projects (FP7, CIP, H2020) in the field of language technologies, machine translation, big data and open data (since 2012). She is part of the team managing the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Automated Translation programme. Her tasks include the design of the tasks and follow up of their implementation. She is the responsible programme officer of the European Language Resources Coordination contract. Before joining DG Connect (DG INFSO at that time) she worked 4 years for the Translation Directorate of the European Commission as a translator. She studied Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw and has a master degree in European Studies from RWTH Aachen.
