Being Digital and Multilingual: Europe’s Opportunity for Global Leadership
The vision of Digital Single Market is broken by the fact that content does not cross borders. We will never create the conditions for a vibrant digital economy and society, if we do not attack (and solve!) the arch-European issue of speaking so many languages. Luckily European companies, primarily SMEs, develop and market the technology required for a Multilingual Digital Single Market. With the right support these technologies could become a unique selling point and job creator, and also a key enabler for Europe to become the fittest for the global market.
