Holly Young is a journalist at the Guardian. Currently she is the editor of the Case for Language Learning series. The series highlights and explores the personal, cultural and economic value of learning a language. To engage the Guardian's readers with the issue the series has used different forms of storytelling - from comment pieces, to long form journalism, to video and data visualisation. Prior to working on the series Holly wrote and commissioned on climate change, renewable energy and tropical health for the Guardian's Global Development Professionals network.
