Arle Lommel has worked with DFKI since 2012 in the field of language technology and language quality assessment. Before joining DFKI he worked on standardization at the former Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) and the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA). He was a co-editor of the Internationalization Tag Set (ITS) 2.0 specification and was the primary developer of the Multidimensional Quality Metrics (MQM) specification. His interest is in bridging the gap between academia and research on the one hand and the localization industry on the other.
