Dr. Tamás Váradi is head of the Department of Language Technology and Applied Linguistics of the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as General Secretary of EFNIL. Dr. Váradi is a language technology expert with special interest in corpus linguistics and language resources development. He is a founding member of the CLARIN project, a member of the Executive Board of META-NET and president of the Hungarian Language and Speech Technology Platform.
