Dr. Khalid Choukri holds an Electrical engineer degree and a Ph.D. in Computer sciences and Signal processing. He worked for several industries in the area of Man-Machine Interactions. He then joined CAP GEMINI R&D center, to lead projects on speech processing, oral dialogues, neural networks. In the early 90s, he moved to an SME (ACSYS) as Speech technologies Manager to deploy some of the first speech recognition servers. Since 1995, he has been the CEO of ELRA and the managing director of ELDA, the European Language Resource Center.
